Listen & understand
Interviews and a questionnaire with residents explored repair coordination, cancellations, rescheduling and changing costs.
PROJECT 01 / UI/UX · APPLICATION DESIGN
A home maintenance experience that helps residents understand what’s happening, what has changed and what to do next.
THE EXPERIENCE / PROJECT WALKTHROUGH
Two demonstrated journeys: prepare for a visit, or review a change and choose a new slot. The walkthrough is a visual presentation.
INTERACTIVE PROTOTYPE / DESIGN PRECISION
A closer look at the connected interactions and detailed decisions behind the Fixly experience.
01 / THE CHALLENGE
Residents often coordinate repairs across phone calls and messages. Visit times change, costs need clarification and important details can become difficult to track.
Fixly brings service requests, property details, quotes and visit updates into a connected experience. The design focuses on helping residents see their next visit and the decisions that need their attention.
02 / THE PROCESS
Interviews and a questionnaire with residents explored repair coordination, cancellations, rescheduling and changing costs.
Research informed a primary persona, information architecture and user flows to connect bookings, requests, provider communication and quotes.
Wireframes established content priority and navigation before moving into final interface design.
A design system supports reusable patterns and consistent states. The prototype demonstrates visit preparation and responding to a changed booking.
03 / DESIGN PRIORITIES
Keep the service, property and arrival details connected to the relevant visit.
Give visit changes context and a direct path to review the update and select a replacement slot.
Make quote details and approval decisions understandable before the resident proceeds.
